Sharon Hadley Halliday

I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1965 with a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education. I met Gerry Halliday while teaching at Roy Junior High School and married him on June 24, 1966. We have three wonderful children and nine precious grandchildren. Kirk has five children and is the senior manager in information technology for Grant Thornton in Illinois. Chantelle is a dental hygienist and lives in Pleasant View with her three boys that we tend three days a week now that we are retired. Greg is a physician’s assistant in cardiology and lives with his wife and new baby in Spanish Fork, Utah.
We have lived in North Ogden, Utah most of our married lives. Gerry taught English and German at Clearfield High School and freshman English at Weber State University. I was privileged to be a stay-at-home mom until I went back to work in 1989 as a paraprofessional in the Computer Writing Lab at Bonneville High School. While I was there, I was able to help many students learn to write essays, research papers, proper resumes, and anything else in the English field that they may need to know in order to help them succeed in their lives.
I keep busy each day taking care of our home and family and have served in leadership and teaching positions in every auxiliary organization of my church. At the present time, my husband and I are Primary teachers and thoroughly enjoy being with the children.
Gerry and I love to travel when we can, but most of our spare time rotates around activities with our family and the many athletic events and educational endeavors they are involved in. We have a truly rich and full life and appreciate the blessings we have been given.
