Dr. Thomas Newberry of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away March 30, 2017. He was born on August 11, 1943, in Ogden toEther Geraldina and John Thomas Newberry.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Robin and Tim. He is survived by his wife, Martha McKinney Newberry; daughter Synthea Ford; sons" John Newberry, Brent Newberry, and Jacob Newberry; stepdaughter, Katie Burger; sisters: Heidi (Larry) Palmer and Kris Castillo; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas, called "Tom" or "Newb" by his friends was a sensitive, accomplished and respected psychiatrist.
Tom loved being alive and he pursued it with a contagious exuberance. His empathic spirit was evident to everyone who knew him.

Very sad to hear the news of Tom's passing. He was smart, funny, and loyal to his friends...always coming up with new schemes and ideas. As I recall, he and Denny Anderson were especially close friends.
Tom talked me into running for Student body President against Bill Norris...a total wipe out for me...but fun campaigning.
I'm not surprised he became a Psychiatrist...he was great at reading and empathisizing with people. I believe he worked as a teen at the Old Folks Infirmary in Roy. Sad that he has left us.
