Robert Kent Jones died at the age of 56 on January 25, 1999. He was active in the LDS church and served a building mission, helping to build the Oakland Temple. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army as a Specialist 4th Class. He married Ruth Anne Neeley in the Logan Temple on August 15, 1969. They had three sons which they raised in Ogden. Those three sons are married and have given him six grandchildren. He was proceded in death by his wife of 27 years and his mother.
